What is Brastel Webphone ?

Brastel Webphone is a cheaper alternative to conventional phones with the advantage to use it from anywhere that has a computer connected to the internet. Like FLIP, Brastel Webphone is a service that uses VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) technology to place international and domestic calls over the internet.

Brastel Webphone doesn’t require any software installation. All you need is a computer connected to the internet, a headset and your Brastel Card.

How to place calls

International calls:

  1. Enter the destination phone number starting from the country code, followed by the area code.
    Example of a call to the USA:

    131012345678

  2. Press enter, or the button.

Domestic calls (within Japan):

  1. Simply enter the phone number starting from the area code.
    Example of a call to Tokyo:

    0312345678

  2. Press enter, or the button.

    Note that the procedure will be the same even when calling from another country.

How to use

  1. Sign in to MY ACCOUNT using Internet Explorer (version 7 or higher) with ActiveX enabled.

  2. Click on the image of the Brastel Webphone on the top of the menu on the left side.

  3. Follow the instructions on screen to activate it.

  4. After a brief loading, start placing calls!

  • Internet Explorer browser (version 7 or higher), 32-bit Windows operating system.

  • Headset, or microphone and speakers

  • Brastel Card

Brastel Card

  • Webphone calling rates will be deducted from the credits of your Brastel Card. Please contact customer service for rates.
  • Current version does not receive calls.
  • To activate the Webphone, the installation of an ActiveX Control plugin/addon (from ageet Corporation) is required.
